Prunier

House Prunier is located in Cognac with 250 years of history spanning more than two centuries. Since 1769, House Prunier has been making its mark alongside the great names of Cognac.

The first traces of the Prunier family date back to 1701, but it wasn't until 1769 that bottling and export activities really got underway at Cognac, as the old labels on Prunier bottles testify.

Across the ages, the 1850 building has seen each generation grow up. The walls, like photographs, carry the family memory. Even today, this building is the soul of Maison Prunier.

Description Prunier "Singularité" par Stéphane Burnez.

Demonstrating the Burnez-Prunier family's blending expertise, "Singularité" is a precious Cognac created at the request of Alice and Claire Burnez to their father Stéphane Burnez. Composed of Cognacs aged from 28 to 104 years, this cuvée captures the essence of the very old eaux-de-vie preserved by the family, paying tribute to the tradition and craftsmanship that transcend each generation.

Blended from different clay-limestone terroirs (56% Borderies, 27% Grande Champagne, 10% Petite Champagne and 7% Fins Bois), the Cognac is then aged in the intimacy of the Gimeux cellars, which offer ideal ambient conditions, thanks in particular to the natural hygrometry conferred by the adjacent river.

To the eye, "Singularité" reveals a brilliant pale gold color. The first, refined nose then rises in intensity, revealing aromas of candied orange, spices and licorice. Natural roundness and elegant rancio follow, accompanied by notes of beeswax, hazelnut and walnut gangue, offering remarkable aromatic depth.

On the palate, this Cognac strikes a perfect balance between power, freshness and richness. Notes of orange and subtle tannins add depth, while the intense, subtle rancio prolongs the tasting experience with great finesse.

To fully appreciate the complexity of this Cognac, we recommend tasting it in a tulip-shaped glass, allowing its full aromatic profile to unfold.

Issued in a limited series (299 bottles), Cognac Prunier "Singularité" by Stéphane Burnez is a sought-after Rare.
